"Drops in the Ocean 2023": third year of our communitarian charitable initiative for Lent

Taking into account the appreciated success on the two previous years, our Lenten charitable activity in favour of needy people and families, "Drops in the Ocean" has been renewed as well for this 2023.

Therefore, starting from this First Sunday of Lent (February 26th, 2023) you will find the same basket labelled “Drops in the Ocean” at the entrance of the church or next to the presbytery, where anyone who wants to join this initiative can bring and leave foodstuffs (e.g. rice, oil, salt, sugar, wheat flour, milk, legumes) or any other basic necessities (i.e. hygiene products) in there for those needy people.

This time, within the framework of a broader Caritas Serbia initiative, as briefly illustrated by the Archbishop of Belgrade at the end of our international Mass last Sunday, the main beneficiaries of this Lent will be the Syrian populations who are suffering after the recent earthquake which it has hit the already battered region on the border with Turkey.
