"Drops in the Ocean": final report on the outcomes of our communitarian Lenten initiative

As promised, I briefly summarise below the concrete results of our communitarian charitable initiative for the past Lent.

We collected in total:

15.250 Kg of pasta

16.250 Kg of rice

19.5 Kg of wheat flour

14 Kg of sugar

11.5 Lt of milk

6 Lt of juices

11 Lt of vegetable oil

6.7 Kg of tomato sauce

2.1 Kg of dried legumes

17 packs of biscuits

11 soup bags

15 cans of tuna

6 cans of meat

670 g of pickles

5 packs of candies

1.5 Kg of coffee

4 packs of tea

1 Lt of dish soap

3.5 Lt of shampoo

1 baby shampoo

1 baby bath soap

1 hair conditioner

3 Lt of shower gel

5 toothbrushes and 3 toothpaste

1 skin cream

2 bottles of liquid hand soap

3 packs of toilet paper

2 paper towels

5 packs of baby wipes

3.750 Kg of washing powder And also: some canned legumes, polenta, instant puree, broth in sachet, jam, fruit in syrup, breadcrumb, nutella.

For Lepa (see the previous post, dated March 24th), we collected 12,600 dinars to buy a wheelchair, as well as the donation of a chair for the bath/shower and diapers.

We can say without any doubt that the initiative has been a great success, thanks to the spontaneous generosity of all the members of our Community. As described in previous posts, all the collected stuff was delivered to the five recipient families by last Saturday.
