"I am the living bread that came down from heaven;

and the bread that I will give
is my flesh for the life of the world."
The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying,
"How can this man give us his flesh to eat?"

"Amen, amen, I say to you,
unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood,
you do not have life within you.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood

Creed
I believe in one God,

Prayer of the Faithful
As we gather to celebrate the great gift of the Eucharist, we turn to God, the Father of mercies, and make our needs known to Him. Let us pray together to the Lord saying: Lord hear our prayer.

1.Today, the Feast of Corpus Christi, we celebrate the great gift which Jesus has bestowed on us, the spiritual nourishment that is His Body and Blood. We pray, that in uniting His Body and Blood with ours in the Eucharist, we are strengthened in our faith and love of God and neighbour.
We pray to the Lord R. Lord hear our prayer.
2. In today’s gospel Jesus tells us that “He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me and I live in him”. We pray that in our daily lives, we remember the living Jesus within us and follow his example in everything we do.

3. As we celebrate Christ’s presence among us, we pray for all those who honour that presence through their commitment to the Apostolate of Eucharistic Adoration.

4. We pray for people who feast on regret and shame. May Christ offer forgiveness, mercy and hope to all in anguish on earth. May the Blood of Christ pour forth love upon the earth.
